Which Award Category Fits your Innovation?
Innovation
Recognizing products or solutions that introduce novel approaches, address emerging market needs, or significantly advance the use of DECT technologies.
Design
Honoring products distinguished by outstanding industrial or system design.
NR+ (New Radio Plus)
Highlighting products, solutions, or deployments that make advanced or exemplary use of DECT NR+, including performance, scalability, spectrum efficiency, or innovative use cases.
Best Paper (Academic Award)
Awarded to an outstanding scientific or technical paper related to DECT technologies. This category is open exclusively to academic participants, including universities and research institutions. Submissions may address theory, experimentation, system design, performance evaluation, or future directions of DECT.

Eligibility
Is your Innovation Eligible for the DECT Awards?
- Companies, academic institutions, and research organizations with products, solutions, or publications based on DECT technology standards are eligible to apply.
- Academic participants may apply only to the “Best Paper” category. Papers must represent original work. Prior publication is permitted if clearly disclosed at submission.
- There is no limit on the number of submissions per applicant, provided each submission is entered separately.
Submission Requirements

Each submission must include:
Application Form
A completed application form via DECT Forum’s website
Project Description
A concise description of the product, solution, or paper (maximum 1,000 words)
Supporting Materials
Depending on your category:
For Product Categories
(Innovation, Design, NR+):
Marketing or explanatory collateral (video, brochure, presentation, fact sheet)
For Best Paper Category:
Full paper in PDF format
Intellectual Property
Intellectual property remains with the applicant. By submitting, applicants grant the DECT Forum the right to reference submitted materials for award promotion and reporting.
Evaluation & Awards
How your Innovation will be Evaluated
Independent Jury
Submissions will be evaluated by an independent jury appointed by the DECT Forum. Jury members are independent experts and shall declare any conflict of interest.
The jury reserves the right not to award a category if submissions do not meet the expected quality threshold.
Evaluation Criteria
Criteria may include:
- Innovation
- Relevance to DECT standards
- Technical merit
- Impact
- Design quality
- Clarity of presentation
Award Levels
Awards may be granted in each category as:
- Winner
- Runner-up
- Highly Commended
