The Mission
The Mission of the DECT Forum is to support a collaborative environment within the DECT industry and to drive programmes to develop and improve DECT wireless technologies. Our goal is to exceed wireless communication expectations and meet the needs of a technology-shifting world.
To address industry needs, the DECT Forum will initiate and drive the necessary activities to ensure the growth of the DECT market, the technologies and related products and applications.

Adrie van Meijeren
Renesas
Adrie was working in the semiconductor industry since 1991 – of which the last 17 years in sales and marketing of wireless system-on-chip products. Since 2016 he worked in Bluetooth low energy product marketing in Renesas as a marketing group manager being responsible for bringing multiple Bluetooth LE products successfully to market. From 1st of April 2022 Adrie joined the Audio & Voice product line as marketing director.

Christian Schepke
Gigaset
Christian holds a diploma in electric engineering. He has 20 years experience as a professional in the internet and telecommunication industry.

Jens Christian Lindof
RTX
Jens Christian has 30 years experience with wireless and RF technology, and holds an M.Sc.EE degree within telecommunication. In the early 90’es he was involved in developing some of the worlds first cell phones, and worked for many years with Texas Instruments on their cellular chipset development and reference designs, before working for a few years in Canada and US as a manager of wireless design groups at Flex and Anaren Microwave. Since 2011 he hasheaded the RTX Design Services business unit and was 2019 also appointed CTO for RTX A/S.

Ralph Tischler
VTech
Ralph Tischler has been working at VTech for over 35 years. He has more than 10 years of experience in designing RF circuits and has developed custom protocols and RF architectures in collaboration with various semiconductor vendors. Ralph has 8 years of project management experience in Analog, WDCT, DECT, and DECT 6.0 cordless phone programs. For the past 17 years, he has led the Vancouver engineering and software development teams focused on VoIP, DECT-VoIP, and DECT Multi-Cell technologies. Ralph is the system architect and team lead for VTech’s Multi-Cell DECT design and holds a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Kristian Saether
Nordic Semiconductor
Kristian Saether was born in Lillehammer, Norway, and holds a M.Sc. degree in cybernetics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He has 18+ years of experience in various R&D-, applications-, -marketing and -product management roles for microcontrollers, processors, UWB radar and wireless solutions. He enjoys working with new technologies set to transform the world.

Jussi Numminen
Wirepas
Jussi Numminen has over 30 years of experience on developing global wireless communication technologies ( 3G, 4G, DECT-2020 NR) and attending in standards development in various organizations (ETSI, 3GPP and ITU). He has joined Wirepas since 2015 and is responsible for radio strategy covering standards, regulation and IPRs. Jussi is serving also ETSI TC DECT vice-chair. Before joining Wirepas he has leading standardization role at Nokia, STMicroelectronics, ST-Ericsson and Ericsson.

Andreas Wilzeck
Sennheiser Electronic
Dr.-Ing. Andreas Wilzeck is Head of Spectrum Policy and Standards at Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG, Germany.
He is Vice-Chair of the ETSI TC DECT, was Chair of the ETSI Evaluation Group for IMT-2020 and is an active participant in the standardisation work of various ETSI technical committees. He also participates in WRC, ITU-R, CEPT and other PMSE-related spectrum regulatory work globally.
He received the Dr.-Ing. degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover in August 2009.

Wolfgang Bilz
Shure
Wolfgang Bilz completed his studies in telecommunications with a diploma thesis focused on developing a wireless microphone system, which was successfully introduced into the European market. Throughout his career at Shure, Wolfgang has gained valuable experience by working in various departments, including engineering, project management, global product management, compliance, and regulation. Currently, Wolfgang is a member of Shure’s Spectrum and Regulatory Team, responsible for overseeing activities in the European region. He leads with authority as the co-chair of the PMSE industry organization, APWPT.org and is also member of the DECT Forum Board. Additionally, Wolfgang is actively engaged in national and international regulatory groups such as ITU-R, CEPT, and ETSI, where his influence is noteworthy, contributing his expertise to advance industry standards and regulation.

Bruno Vulcano
Legrand
Bruno Vulcano is an R&D Manager for the Digital Building Infrastructure business unit at Legrand. With over a decade of experience in various organizations, Bruno has held several positions of responsibility, including serving as the Chair of the Board during the development of Matter technology within the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA).
At Legrand, Bruno focuses on the offer creation roadmap, ensuring that innovative and timely products are delivered to customers while respecting time-to-market constraints with standardized solutions. Bruno’s expertise in technological development and leadership within prominent organizations allows him to understand the challenges and opportunities in the industry.

Roel Ottink
DECT Forum
Roel Ottink is Director of Business Development at the DECT Forum, where he drives industry collaboration and innovation in wireless communication technologies. With a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and over 30 years of experience in PBX, Unified Communications, and on-site wirelesssystems based on DECT, VoWiFi, and Cellular, Roel has held leadership roles at Philips, Ericsson, and Ascom. He also served for several years as a member of the DECT Forum Board.

Roland Schmidt
DECT Forum
Roland Schmidt has served as Secretary of the Forum for more than 20 years, supporting the marketing team of the industry association. He has a strong background in media, holding a Master’s degree in Media Studies and having completed a comprehensive journalistic training for daily newspapers, where he worked for many years as an editor. Before joining the association, Roland headed the German office of Fleishman-Hillard in Munich, managing marketing and communications activities for numerous well-known IT companies.
